The airport of Cap-Haitien will be named "Hugo Chavez International Airport"

Edwidge Danticat received the Grand Prize of writers of the Caribbean

At the 3rd International Congress of Writers of the Caribbean, held in Guadeloupe, attendedby fifty authors from the Caribbean, the novelist and essayist Edwidge Danticat won the Grand Prize of the Association of Writers of Caribbean for his book "Créer dangereusement" (Create dangerously), subtitled "l'artiste immigrant à l'oeuvre" (the immigrant artist at work).
