567 Haitians deported from the Dominican Republic

According to the latest monitoring report published by the Border Network Janot Siksè (RFJS) for the defense of human rights, in April 567 Haitian migrants who were in the Dominican Republic have been deported and repatriated to Haiti (498 men, 67 women and 2 children).

Distribution of seeds and kit to fishermen

Earlier this week, in collaboration with the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), the Office of the Minister Delegate for the Promotion of Peasantry, distributed 500 kits of agricultural seed, 400 kits of fishermen and 30 thermos, for the farmers of Saint-Jean du Sud.

Monday, senators and Deputies in National Assembly have ratified (after 15 years...) the agreement relating to investment guarantees between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Haiti by 39 votes in favor, 6 against and 22 abstentions. Two other texts, the Vienna Convention on Psychotropic Substances, signed in 1971 [! ] And the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer as well as the Beijing Amendment were adopted unanimously.

Workshop on hygiene in schools

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Education launched a two-day workshop on "Certification of friendly school of hygiene" The objective of this workshop is to get feedback from the various stakeholders to finalize the strategy called: "Alliance for water, sanitation and hygiene in schools (Alliance EAHMS)" and educate stakeholders and decision makers of the importance of this national project.
