Marathon of the flag

The Rectorate informs the community of UEH that it organizes a race of the flag and citizenship on the morning of Saturday, May 18, 2013, day of the feast of the flag and the University. Teachers, students and administrative staff interested are invited to get in touch with deans of their faculties to fulfill the attendance requirements. Marathoners leave from Cabaret towards Arcahaie : Kay Grann Guiton, a distance of seven kilometers. Women are encouraged to participate in this race, during which there will be three winners in the women's category and three winners in the men's category. Awards will be awarded to the three winners of each division by the Rector of the UEH, Professor Jean Vernet Henry.

Assassination of an employee of the National Palace

An employee of the National Palace of Haiti, Jean-Louis Hugens, was assassinated in his private residence on the night of May 15 to 16, he received four bullets, two in the head. The police did not proceeded for the moment at any arrests. In these painful circumstances, the General Secretariat of the Presidency sends its deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

Training for officers of the Tourist Police

This week, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism met some representatives of Adam Marlatt & Global Dirt (Global Disaster Immediate Response Team's) in his office on the possibility of an accompaniment in terms of primary care services to visitors of tourist destinations and training officers of the tourist police.

Accident on the road Kenscoff

Thursday, an accident occurred on the road Kenscoff at the level of Pèlerin, the vehicle in question, an overloaded bus, returning from a recreational day in Kenscoff, carrying a hundred students, crashed against a wall at the level of Pèlerin, record one death (a teenage girl) and several wounded quickly transported to the nearest hospital.
