Canada has contributed $1 billion in aid in 6 years
According to Henri Paul Normandin, Ambassador of Canada to Haiti in end of mission, cumulative Canadian aid to Haiti over the past six years, reached $1 billion, whose nearly $250 million for 2012 alone. He said that the Canadian cooperation was much more diverse and now affected all sectors, with the overall aim to have a direct impact on the lives of the population and strengthen Haitian institutions.
