Prayers for the unity of all Haitian

As part of the commemoration of the 211th anniversary of the Battle of Vertières, the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Suriname and 4 Haitian Churches : "Eau Vivante", "Nazaréen", "La Prophétie" and "Baptiste par La Foi", came together to pray for the unity of us all. Alex Jospitre Consul, the Vice-Consul Alexandre and the Consular Agent Christian Petit-Frère, spent three hours praying and singing for unity and harmony among all Haitians. In his speech, the Consul stressed that "while praying to God for the unity of Haitians, each of us must play its role by fighting every day in our own lives, the well-known enemies of this union: selfishness and division."

Laying the foundation stone of the Lycée René Théodore

On Tuesday, during a ceremony of laying the first stone, the work of the Lycée René Theodore Ouanaminthe were launched by Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of Education.

International Day of Disabled Persons

The commemorative activities of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, were officially launched by Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH). In addition, a delegation of 16 members, led by the Haitian Amputee Football Association (AHFA), which will take part in the World Cup of Amputee Football in Mexico, from 30 November to 8 December 2014, has been presented to the press.
