Work at the Embassy of France
The Ambassador of France in Haiti, Patrick Nicoloso announced that the first phase of construction of the new Embassy of France in Port-au-Prince, will be completed in December. This work concerns the renovation of the visa service. "The construction of the main building will take more time, the construction site will last a little over a year," said the Ambassador.

UEH, possible strike in January
The Union of the teaching staff and the Union of the administrative staff of the State University of Haiti (UEH), launched a 5-day strike notice from Monday January 19 to Friday, January 23, 2015 in order to force the authorities of the University to set up the salary scale of teachers and administrative staff, adopted in December 2013, which is in force only to the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Science.
