Accident: a Haitian 17 years died in RD
Louis Maneso, a Haitian, 17, who lived nearby Puerta de Mulo (Santiago Rodriguez) in the Dominican Republic died of severe head injuries after falling accidentally from the back of a truck in which he was traveling.

Donation of materials to SEMANAH
Thursday the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and UNESCO have delivered to the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) a lot of material including a Nissan Patrol, a Toyota Hilux, 8 motorcycles and a generator 80 kilowatts, to facilitate the tasks of territorial representatives of that institution.

NOTICE: prohibition from teaching without nomination letter
In a note, Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of Education recalls that "it is forbidden to education responsible to integrate in the public schools people without nomination letter signed by the Minister. No excuse will be considered for exceptions to this measure. Any agent of the Haitian education system, which will seek, by any means, to act in a manner contrary to this circular note will be severely punished."

DINEPA inspection in Jacmel
As on many other construction sites across the country, the extension work and rehabilitation of Jacmel network continues to make great strides. A delegation of the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) composed of the engineer Benito Dumay, Director General, the Emanus Dorval, Regional Technical Coordinator and other officials traveled to Jacmel to inquire about the progress of work. Work continues to progress well and Montchil network is already in service for a trial period.

Curricular reform in progress
On 21 and 22 February at the Karibe Convention Center, is held the second working meeting of the National Curricular Reform Commission (CNRC). The Minister Manigat has welcomed the continuation of the CNRC work, fundamental for the educational reform.

Bilateral Relations Haiti-France...
Friday at the National Palace, the Head of State met with the Ambassador of France Patrick Nicoloso. There was discussion on the bilateral relations between Haiti and France.
