On Wednesday, the Principal Inspector, Garry Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesman of the National Police of Haiti reported that early Monday afternoon, during a joint operation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) through its Brigade of fight against drug trafficking (BLTS) two Venezuelans, who were traveling in a vehicle Terios, registered AA 21079 were arrested in Tabarre 36 in possession of a sum of 500,000 US dollars.
The two men aged 25 and 36, whose identity was not disclosed, were arrested and charged with money laundering originating from drug trafficking, vehicle and money were seized by the authorities to the purpose of the investigation, which will try to determine the source of these funds.
