iciHaiti - Health : Macaco-Dufreney will have its health center thanks to Taiwan

Tuesday, Dr. Florence Duperval Guillaume, Minister of Public Health, accompanied by Peter Hwang Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), proceeded to the laying of foundation stone of a health center in the village of Macaco-Dufrney located between Laboule 12 and Carrefour.

This center which will be launched in the next four months, funded to the tune of 100,000 US dollars through a donation from Taiwan, was warmly welcomed by the community of Dufreney. It will provide better access to health care to nearly 10,000 residents of Dufresnay hitherto underserved.

This new medical infrastructure, will include among other facilities: a room for clinical examinations, a consulting room, a delivery room and a pharmacy...

Florence Guillaume thanked Taiwan for this financial assistance and took the opportunity to thank Mr. Mosanto Jean Petit aka "toto" who donated the land.
