On 14 April, an operation of the Brigade of fight against drug trafficking (BLTS) with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) of the United States and the United Nations Police (UNPOL), allowed the discovery and seizure of 7kg of cocaine and 10 kg of heroin on the ship MV Manzanares, Panamanian flag. Subsequently, 16 crew members including 3 Haitians had been arrested.

6 months later, the judge decided to release 11 of the 16 crew menithout one really knows who is involved in this case and who the sponsor of this illegal cargo, dissimulated in a shipment of sugar.

Judicial sources say the 5 others detained, including the 3 Haitians, should also be released soon... without this information can not be confirmed officially.

Everything that can be know is that the investigation continues... All other details are covered by the confidentiality of the investigations...
