In a note, Dr. Jean Luc Poncelet Representative of the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) in Haiti, said to have be informed through the press, of a case of death that would have occurred following the strike of resident physicians https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17361-haiti-health-irresponsible-strike-in-hospitals.html
"If such information prove accurate, this represents an infringement of the right to health. PAHO/WHO would like to remind the right of everyone to have access to health and the duty of all to provide 'assistance to a person in danger'. Therefore, it is vital that in strike situation in hospitals, that a minimum emergency service is provided. It is for this reason that PAHO/WHO, has provided the Haitian Ministry of Health of inputs to help the continuity of emergency services."
