Members of S2 Intelligence Service and uniformed of the Dominican army arrested 24 women and 13 men, that have attempted to smuggle 37 children in the Dominican Republic from Haiti.

With this figure, the number of children of Haitian nationality, who have been in recent days transferred to the authorities of the "Consejo Nacional para la Niñez y la Adolescencia" and migration and then returned, stood at 607, following their attempt to enter into neighboring territory.

Children, babies and adults, were arrested by soldiers to military checkpoint of Mangá de Guayubín and Copey in the province of Montecristi (Northeast). Women detainees have claimed to be the mothers of these children... true or not it does not change the fact that they were returned to the border...
