For now, 150 to 200 US soldiers have been mobilized for these operations and helicopters are expected to arrive in Haiti on Thursday October 6th. They will be responsible for conducting reconnaissance operations in the most affected areas and deliver emergency aid. U.S. relief operations will be controlled in Haiti, by a command cell arrived Wednesday evening at the international airport of Port-au-Prince, Toussaint Louverture.
