iciHaiti - Humanitarian : 106 tons of aid to the Red Cross arrived 13/10/2016 10:59:24
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) sent Saturday, October 8 over 39 tons of humanitarian aid (39.376) aboard a cargo plane in support of those affected by the passage of hurricane Matthew. A second plane, chartered by the Canadian government, arrived Monday, October 10, with on board more than 67 tons of humanitarian aid (67.185) including hygiene kits, buckets, jerry cans, tarpaulins, toolkits for shelter and utensils for about 2,000 families. The deployment of assistance in support to the Haitian Red Cross, has been managed by the logistics of the regional office for the Americas of the International Federation in Panama. Tuesday, a FACT team and ENI (Coordination of Assessments on the Field) was dispatched so that these non-food relief items arrive as quickly as possible in the most affected areas. IH/ iciHaiti
