iciHaiti - Security : Guide on the Reduction of Natural Risks in Urban Areas

The Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE), with the support of the Delegation of the European Union in Haiti and the DFID - UK Department for International Development recently published the "Methodological guide on the reduction of natural hazards in urban areas in Haiti" a reference tool in national approaches to land use planning.

This guide was officially adopted as the national standard for assessing hazards, identify issues, highlight areas at risk while proposing rules of good land use and risk mitigation in a perspective of sustainable development.
