Thursday, as part of the programs organized in parallel with the 39th Session of the General Conference of UNESCO in Paris (October 30 to November 14, 2017), Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education participated to a working lunch between the Ministers of Education on global competencies and education for global citizenship, initiated by the Permanent Delegations of Canada and the Republic of South Korea to Unesco.

During the discussions, the Minister Cadet drew a picture on the Haitian situation, progress and bottlenecks in this process. Several countries were able to take stock of their situation and called for a better sharing of knowledge for the success of this initiative.

Special Commissions have begun to sit on their activities and programs, including the Education Commission, which started its work on Thursday. Pierre Délima, the Director General of the National Office of Partnership in Education (ONAPE) is the representative of the Haitian delegation to this summit.
