iciHaiti - Politic : Strengthening of the cooperation with Wallonia-Brussels
Monday at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse, welcomed Rudy Demotte, the Minister President of Wallonia-Brussels visiting Haiti from 19 to 24 November https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-22752-icihaiti-belgium-visit-of-the-minister-president-of-the-wallonia-brussels-federation.html

In the presence of Chancellor Antonio Rodrigue and Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Aviol Fleurant, the Head of State reviewed bilateral cooperation, emphasizing a framework of cooperation that strengthens national institutions to approach to executing programs and projects by third parties.

For his part, Minister-President Demotte emphasized the cultural and historical links between Haiti and Belgium, which share, in part, linguistic affinities and the same motto "Union is Strength". He praised the resilience of the Haitian people and assured that cooperation with Haiti has enhanced Belgium's capacity to provide meaningful support in water management and education, including technical and professional aspects.

Following the discussions, Chancellor Rodrigue and Minister-President Demotte signed a Declaration of Intent on the Priorities for Bilateral Cooperation, including Education and Agriculture, for the period 2018-2023.
