Rudy Demotte, the Minister President of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, left Belgium on Sunday for Haiti to celebrate 20 years of the cooperation agreement with our country https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20855-haiti-politics-20-years-of-fruitful-cooperation-wallonia-haiti.html signed on September 30, 1997.

He was welcomed on his arrival by Foreign Minister Antonio Rodrigue. In addition to several meetings with politicians and cultural actors, the French community wishes to also pose with this visit the bases of the next permanent Joint Commission between the two partners.

During his stay that will end on Thursday, Rudy Demotte will meet many cultural actors, members of civil society and Monday President Jovenel Moïse. He will also participate in the opening ceremony of the Festival Quatre Chemins in the capital Port-au-Prince, the flagship event of Haitian cultural life and will discover the result of the project "Plateau Young Talents" which accompanies local artists. Let us recall that the exchanges between the French community of Belgium and Haïti concern mainly the domains of the theater, the literature and the music.
