Friday night members of the 10th Infantry Battalion of the Dominican Army arrested at the checkpoint of Cañongo in the municipality of Dajabón, a van truck illegally transporting 3 Haitian illegals and 172 cartons of 10 packets of contraband cigarettes from Haiti, brand "Point" and "Comme il Faut".

The Dominican driver was identified by the military as Warnin Veloz Pimentel, resident of Dajabón. The truck, the contraband cigarettes and the 3 Haitian nationals were handed over to the Army Headquarters in Dajabón, for legal follow-up.
