iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : Anger of the small merchants against the town hall...
A group of small merchants from Petit-Goâve who came from the "Seradòt" market (National Road #2) denounced, on Radio preference, a team from the Town Hall of Petit-Goâve led by Mayor Jean Samson Limongy who started in the Friday evening, January 19th, a night operation of destruction and the removal of the trestles used for display which were installed in front of the Public Market, all along the Avenue La Hatte and the "Marché Dimanche".

Voices of citizens and civil society of Petit-Goâve rose to condemn, despite the positive and legal side of this measure that continued Saturday, the violence that accompanies this operation of destruction that undermines the property of merchants.

All streets, including National Road #2, the Republican Street, Carrefour André 17 are targeted by this measure taken by the branches of the Municipality Pro Limongy. Remember that the City Council launched this operation after the expiry of a period granted to merchants who occupied the public road...

A decision that raises the anger of the small merchants of Petit-Goâve who announced a demonstration this Monday, January 22 through the streets of the city to protest against the destruction of their business and require a space where they can sell their goods.
