This week, the Canadian Embassy accompanied the Canadian company "Plastic Bank" of Vancouver and its chairman David Katz at the inauguration of a new plastic material collection center near Cité Soleil.

Recall that the previous week another Center at Croix des Bouquets was also inaugurated, two initiatives made possible by Plastic Bank and Henkel who sets up and supervises these types of centers that become micro-enterprises run by Haitian small entrepreneurs in order to bring a economic and environmental change in their community while helping to reduce the amount of plastic that can end up in the ocean.
