iciHaiti - CARICOM : Expanding opportunities for airlines

Tuesday at the Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince, as part of the 29th CARICOM Conference of Heads of State and Government, Prime Minister Ralph Gonzalez of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines signed the new Multilateral Air Services Agreement (MASA), which extends the possibility for airlines owned by nationals of CARICOM Member States to provide air services throughout the Community.
This agreement does not allow any restrictions on routes, capacity or traffic rights and should facilitate increased intra-regional travel and provide more freight options for exporters and importers, which will result in savings costs. This should give a major boost to the regional transport sector, which is an essential part of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy.
