President Moïse, accompanied by Fritz Caillot, the Minister of Public Works visited late on March 21, the modernization work in progress at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, in particular the widening of the airstrip and takeoff 10-28 (3.06 km long), which will allow to go from a track width of 42 meters to 45.5 meters. Note that the work is done exclusively at night between 8:30 pm and before 6:00 am to take into account the air traffic during the day.
This work, which also concerns the arrival and departure ramps of the airport, is part of the government's efforts to modernize the country's infrastructure.
