iciHaiti - Social : 4 agreements for the integration of disabled people
Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities has signed 4 partnership agreements with private sector institutions and non-governmental organizations operating in Haiti : Faculty of Sciences (FDS), "Christian Blind Mission" (CBM), ECCEL, "Heifer Project International Haiti", World Vision Haiti, and Montfort Institute for Deaf Children aimed at enhancing the social integration of people with disabilities in Haiti.
These agreements concern the extension of the legal framework for the protection of persons with disabilities; on agricultural, livestock production and income-generating activities; the standardization of Haitian Sign Language and the promotion of universal accessibility standards in the built environment.
