iciHaiti - Artibonite : Construction of a bridge at Précièse
On April 5, Pierre Simon Georges, the Minister of the Environment accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry Mrs. Nicole Yolette Altidor went to Petite-Rivière de l'Artibonite to officially launch a project of cleaning of canals used to water the cultivable plains of the locality of Précièse and the reconstruction of a bridge facilitating the circulation of vehicles between the Downtown of Précièse and its surroundings.
The cleaning works meet the pressing need to protect the population of this commune against floods that have caused in the past considerable damage.
In his speech, the Deputy of the commune Victor Prophane expressed his satisfaction for the good collaboration between the Ministry and the local authorities. While thanking the Government he said that the 6.5 million gourdes that cost this project will help to change the living conditions of the local population.
