Deputy Mayor Delor Desgranges, following the illegal withholding of his pay check for the month of March, by the Mayor of Petit-Goâve Jean Samson Limongy https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-24006-icihaiti-petit-goave-new-tension-at-the-town-hall.html has, as he had announced to the mayor, appealed to the law to try to get his check.

Friday, April 6 at noon, accompanied by the Justice of the Peace, Me Jean Jude Léandre and a clerk, the Deputy Délor Desgranges went to the accounting department of the Town Hall located on the Rue Lamarre, to claim his check.

The Chief Accountant, Hervé Marcelin, acknowledged that the check was in the hands of Mayor Limongy. Pressed by the Justice of the Peace, the accountant made a phone call to Mayor Limongy who finally agreed to leave his residence to appear himself.

According to the Deputy Mayor Desgranges, when Mayor Limongy arrived, he mainly sought to provoke quarrels rather than collaborate and respond to the Justice of Peace, reproaching his deputy for being responsible for the lack of revenue of the Town Hall.

However, despite the intervention of a Justice of Peace, Mayor Limongy did not hand the check to his deputy, questioned insistently by the Justice of Peace on this subject, Mayor Limongy finally declared "I do not remember where I deposited this check," promising that he would do some research to find it...

Yet this check which the mayor says "to ignore what he has done of it", according to the statements of Deputy Mayor Delor Desgranges at the microphone of Radio Préférence and according to the information he holds, would have ended up at a houngan...
