According to figures published Monday, April 9, by the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons (OFPRA), France registered more than 100,755 asylum applications in 2017, an increase of 17.5% compared to 2016.

Of this figure, 5,744 are requests from Haitians: 4,939 requests +156 reviews + 5 closed files + 644 requests for accompanying minors
