45 days before the beginning of the hurricane season (June 1st to November 30th), the Municipal Committee of the Civil Protection of Port-au-Prince, which comes under the City Council, in order to prepare the next season has realized this week a two-day training session, on the management of temporary shelters for more than 30 of its executives and staff.

This training, carried out with the support of the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), is part of a set of training modules to enable the Communal Committee to be operational during the active season in order to face the risks of major climatic hazards.

In addition, the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince invites the population to adopt a responsible behavior during the bad weather by scrupulously following the instructions of the authorities.
