On Friday as part of an effort to give young people a better understanding of the role and functioning mechanism of the Parliament in the Haitian democratic system, the Chamber of Deputies received in the meeting room the visit of 150 young students and professionals (medicine, law, civil engineering, computer science and nursing), members of the Môle-Saint-Nicolas Youth Alternative (AJM).

According to Rosny Cadet, the initiator of the activity and founding member of the AJM, this kind of activity is an effective way to project a positive image of Parliament and to bring young people and parliamentarians closer together.

Students took the opportunity to ask for explanations on concepts in the lexical field of legislative power and to express their concerns about certain parliamentary practices that do not conform to the constitutional prescriptions.
