iciHaiti - Bonn conference : Losses and prejudices, an important theme for Haiti

On Thursday, among the activities of the Bonn Conference (Germany, April 30 to May 10, 2018) on climate change, an important theme was discussed on the subject of losses and prejudices.
Indeed, during the COP23 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22745-haiti-cop23-statement-by-the-minister-of-the-environment.html , the Convention Secretariat was requested to organize, under the guidance of the Executive Committee of the Warsaw Mechanism on Loss and Prejudices (WIM) and of the SBI Presidence, a dialogue of experts. This two-day dialogue, launched on Thursday, aims to explore a wide range of information, contributions and opinions on ways to: Facilitate the mobilization of expertise and improve support, including funding, technologies and capacity building to avoid, minimize and address the losses and harms associated with adverse conditions caused by climate change.
This issue is very important for Haiti, which has had to deal with the huge losses caused by extreme weather events over the past decade. The Haitian delegation took part in the second day of the dialogue, which takes place, Thursday, May 3, 2018.
