Prime Minister Jacques Guy Lafontant, accompanied by Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos, Minister of Tourism and the new Minister of Haitians Living Abroad Guy André Junior François made an exploratory visit to the island of La Tortue.

This visit is part of the need for a new vision of tourism and the improvement of the framework and the living conditions of the population and aims to identify strategies and operating procedures for development that could give a new impetus to the public policies and the objectives and results pursued by the Government.

For Minister Menos, tourism for all, inclusive tourism is a prerequisite for the viability and sustainability of policies for the development of leisure and entertainment policies.

Prime Minister Lafontant also visited La Nativité High School, the Town Hall and the beach on the western part of the island "The development of the Turtle Island is a necessity for the Haitian government which plans many projects, in order to highlight the strong tourist potential of the island."
