Following the denunciations of the Dominican people on the presence of Haitians in an irregular situation and a work of information which made it possible to locate exactly the place where the illegals were, the General Direction of the Migrations (DGM) participated, with the support of military personnel and representatives of the Public Prosecutor's Office to migration control operations in the different communities of the provinces Duarte and Maria Trinidad Sanchez

The interventions took place in the communities of Caperuza I and II, La Peña, Rabo de Chivo, the El Silencio and Brutal urbanizations of San Francisco de Macorís as well as different communities in the municipalities of Cabrera, Rio San Juan and Nagua.

318 Haitians were screened and 161 (146 men and 15 women), who did not have documents in good standing, were transferred to Dajabón for registration and deportation to Haiti.

Lieutenant General Máximo William Muñoz Delgado, Director General of the DGM said that these operations will be expanded unexpectedly in other provinces of the country, to continue to locate and control the "foreigners" in an irregular migratory situation.
