At the invitation of the rector of UIC Mexico City, Haiti's Ambassador to Mexico, Guy G. Lamothe, closed the International Congress of Translation and Interpretation (TRADUIC 2018).

In the presence of the faculty and professionals of the translation and interpretation of the three Americas and Europe, Guy Lamothe referred in the Bible to the Tower of Babel construction [Book of Genesis Gen 11,1-9], a story that highlights the weight differential of language and the importance of communication in human relationships, which teaches us the language of value as an element of civilization in today's world...

With the failure of the Tower of Babel, the imperative need for translation and interpreting arose. In order to enhance the current translation process in the areas of trade and economy, Ambassador Lamothe referred to Ali Darwish's book "Towards a theory of constraints in translation".
