iciHaiti - Diplomacy : Text signed with Rwanda
On August 15 in New York, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Denis Régis Permanent Representative of Haiti to the United Nations and his counterpart of Rwanda Ambassador Valentine Rugwabiza signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Haiti and the Republic of Rwanda More details : https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-25271-icihaiti-cooperation-haiti-and-rwanda-explore-new-areas-of-cooperation.html

Text of the joint communiqué :
"The Govemment of the Republic of Haiti and the Goverment of the Republic of Rwanda,

Desiring to promote and strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between their countries and peoples on the basis of equality, mutual respect for eaeh other's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity as weil as non-interference in the internai affairs of each other,

Guided by the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations, as well as the Vienna Convention on Diplomatie Relations of 18 April 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 24 April 1963,

Have decided ta establish diplomatie relations as of the date of the signing of this Joint Communiqué.

ln witness thereor, the undersigned representatives, being duly authorized by their respective Governments, have signed this Joint Communiqué in New York on August 15, 2018 in two originals each in English and FrenCh languages, all texts being equally authentic."
