Sunday, August 26, "Douvan Jou Ka Leve" (The day will rise), the documentary film on the notion of being Haitian today by our young compatriot filmmaker and actress Gessica Généus, received the Public Prize and the "Prix l'Île d'Or", during the Groix Island International Film Festival near Lorient, Morbihan, France)
With these two new awards, the number of awards of this documentary rises to 5 after receiving the Award for Best Creative Documentary (Senegal) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-22997-icihaiti-senegal-douvan-jou-ka-leve-award-of-best-haitian-documentary.html , the Jury Prize (Rencontres Cinémas Martinique 2018) and the Coup de Coeur Award at the Black Movie Independent Film Festival in Geneva.
