"For the period from October 2017 to July 2018, the evolution of public finances is mainly marked by the continuous depreciation of the gourde; slower growth in revenue collection since February; the slow pace of execution of the initial budget of the growth sectors, jeopardizing of the objective of targeted economic growth; increased subsidies to the electricity sector (EDH); the continued increase in the financing of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) and riots affecting both trade and public services."
