Thursday, the Center for Business Development and Entrepreneurship (CDEE) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) proceeded, to the handing of check to the 9 winners of the First Edition of the business plan competition organized as part of the "Support Project for the Creation of SMEs of Graduates in the National Territory".

Without his intervention, Ronell Gilles, the new Minister of Trade and Industry emphasized the importance that the Government attaches to Youth and the activities it undertakes. Minister Gilles also invited the winners to become examples for the youth to inspire them to believe in a better Haiti for all.

Funded by the Public Treasury, the "Support Project for the Creation of SMEs of Graduates in the National Territory" aims to allow graduating students from universities and vocational schools, to contribute to the economic development of Haiti. This project also provides them with entrepreneurship training modules and access to financing through a business plan competition.

For this first edition, 3 departments were concerned North, South and Southeast. Note that the Support Program for the Structuring of Haitian Entrepreneurship (PANSEH) accompanied the CDEE in setting up this project.
