In a message to President Jovenel Moise, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, the Secretary General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) extended his condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the October 6th earthquake that struck the Northwest Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25765-haiti-flash-15-people-dead-333-wounded-7-000-homes-destroyed-or.html
"The Community extends its condolences to the families who lost their loved one, its best wishes for the full and speedy recovery of the injured, and expresses its solidarity with the Government and People of Haiti at this trying moment [...]
The CARICOM is deeply saddened by the loss of life and the significant destruction of property occasioned by an earthquake in the northwest of Haiti, a Community Member State.
The Community extends its condolences to the families who lost their loved one, its best wishes for the full and speedy recovery of the injured, and expresses its solidarity with the Government and People of Haiti at this trying moment.
CARICOM and its institutions stand ready to offer assistance within its capabilities to aid in the recovery process."
