iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Several people arrested for throwing garbage on the street

Monday morning, the brigade of the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien proceeded to the arrest of several people surprised to throw garbage on public roads. After the finding of the Justice of Peace, they were handed to the National Police of Haiti (PNH) for the follow-up.
These arrests are part of the efforts of the Communal Council to limit the environmental and health damage caused by the abundance of waste in the second city of the country, which has no landfill site.
The municipal authorities took the opportunity to ask the population to support the project of the Mouchinèt intercommunal scientific discharge, which must be built before 2020 for an amount of 38.5 million dollars.
