iciHaiti - Culture : 16th edition of the Festival 4 Chemins

"All men are crazy" is the "slogan" of the 16th edition of the Festival 4 Chemins to be held in Port-au-Prince from November 25 to December 7, 2019.

Theater, dance, screenings, conferences, performances, concerts and readings, this Festival carried by the Association 4 Chemins offers the public a rich and varied program, where the youngest will also find something to enjoy. This year, the Festival, through conferences, screenings and shows, will examine the question of mental health in Haiti.

Once again, the Festival highlights a key figure in the Haitian theatrical scene with special guest Michèle Lemoine, director, actress and director and coordinator of the FOKAL Arts and Culture Program, who has greatly contributed to the current dynamism of the theatrical sector and the emergence of many young comedians directors.

In addition to the international guests, this edition will give pride of place to Haitian creations : Syto Cavé will present the beautiful text of Martin Mauvais author Georges Mauvois "Le Merisier", Gaëlle Bien-Aimée will delight us with his new "one woman show", the texts of two young Haitian authors awarded by RFI will be presented, Ymelda Marie-Louise and Daphne Ménard will make us vibrate in two sublime concerts, Michele Lemoine will present a new creation "Victor or children in power" and several other plays. Young audience shows also have their part in the festival's programming.

Shows, concerts, workshops, conferences and poetic evenings are planned in various places of the capital including FOKAL, the French Institute, the National Book Directorate, the Anne-Marie Morisset Center, the Debussy basketball court, the Yanvalou restaurants, Gingerbread and Jaden Samba Bar.
