The Federation of Haitian Bars (FBH) learned with sorrow and dismay of the death of Bâtonnier Monferrier Dorval, executed in the courtyard of his residence on the evening of Friday August 28, 2020 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31661-icihaiti-pelerin-5-assassination-of-the-president-of-the-bar-of-port-au-prince.html

"[...] The disappearance of Me Monferrier Dorval represents an immense loss for the country. The Federation of Haitian Bars demands that everything be done to ensure that the perpetrators and accomplices of this assassination are identified, tried and sentenced [...]

In these tragic circumstances, and while waiting to take other measures, the Bars of Haiti gathered within the Federation ask the Lawyers of the 18 jurisdictions of the country to observe a work stoppage on the whole of the national territory, until the organization of the funeral of our illustrious Brother.
