iciHaiti - Telecom : Natcom is the largest Internet network operator in Haiti
On Monday the Prime Minister, Joseph Jouthe, participated in the celebration ceremony of the 9th anniversary of the mobile phone company Natcom, during which he paid tribute to the investments of the Vietnamese company in Haiti.

Investing in our country represents an "act of faith, bravery and great perseverance", for the head of government who sees Natcom as a leader for the services offered in the field of telecommunications, information technologies, while greatly contributing to the opening of the population to the world.

The Prime Minister underlined Natcom’s contribution to job creation [1,300 direct and 1,700 indirect jobs and thousands of service providers].

The 9-year-old Natcom, in which the State is a 40% shareholder [$142 million in dividends paid to the State], this year broke the 3 million subscriber mark. According to Van Dai, CEO of Natcom, the company has become the largest Internet network operator in Haiti [1,110 BTS (Base. Transceiver Station) sites, including 800 data sites and 5,000 km of fiber optic].

The anniversary ceremony was marked by the symbolic presentation of a check for 150,000 US dollars from Natcom, intended to equip the computer laboratories of the National Institute of Administration, Management and Higher International Studies (Inaghei) and the École normale supérieure (ENS) with 25 computers each and other internet equipment.

Let's recall that Friday, September 4, Prime Minister Jouthe had awarded, on behalf of the Haitian people and President Jovenel Moïse, a plaque of honor and merit to Natcom, on the occasion of his 9 years of service to the Haitian community. The opportunity for the Prime Minister to renew the wish to see the continued friendship and good business partnership "We wish the company long life, that it continues to make profits and pay taxes to the State in the interest of the Haitian people."
