iciHaiti - Obituary : Death of Agronomist Moncher Elan

In a note, the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) says it is deeply sad to learn of the tragic death Sunday, October 18 of Agronomist Moncher Elan (43) following a car accident on the road to Mont-Organisé (Zone Dlo Georges) towards Ouanaminthe.

PADF offers its sincere condolences to his family and to the entire community of Ouanaminthe, affected by this terrible tragedy.

Find out more about Agronomist Moncher Élan :

Very attached to his roots and a fervent defender of the peasantry, the agronomist Moncher was the founder of an agricultural production company "Action and Cooperation in Development" (ACOD). He also created his own agricultural farm in the locality of Beaulieu, not far from the commune of Carice and has embarked on the production of chili peppers, organically fertilized at 50% targeting the North East-North-Center market of the national territory. The relevance of its 'hot pepper' project enabled the company to win the business plan competition and to benefit from the support of the investment program Leveraging Effective Application of Direct Investments (LEAD), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti)

In June 2016, Agronomist Moncher Elan participated with three other Haitian entrepreneurs in the "2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit" chaired, that year by the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, at Sandford University in Palo Alto (California).
