"The more I meet the Associations of the Haitian community in Île-de-France and its surroundings, the more I realize that compatriots leave their native land not only to realize their dearest dreams but also to work for the advancement of their homeland."

It is with these words that the Consul General of Haiti in Paris Madame François Pierre expressed her satisfaction after meeting the representatives of the associations: "Franco Haitians Friends of Haiti", "Bougeons Pour Haiti" and "Brothers and Sisters", working in Île-de-France and its surroundings.

During this meeting, which lasted more than two hours, the Consul François Pierre was able to discuss with the Presidents of these associations around several priority subjects for the Consulate General, including the organization of the Haitian community in unity in order to make it more enterprising, fraternal, cooperative in the execution of projects, towards the country. The presidents of the three associations took the opportunity to share their projects, their vision, their availability and their willingness to cooperate with the consular mission.

It is important to note that on the one hand, the association "Franco Haitians Friends of Haiti" was represented by Mr. Bernadin Jean Baptiste and its President, Mr. Jean Claude Valdemar, who is a very active man in the community who has already undertaken several large-scale social projects for the benefit of Haiti. On the other hand, Mrs. Marie Saint Hilaire represented "Bougeons pour Haïti" of which she is the President while the association "Brothers and Sisters" was represented by its President, Mr. Wilfride Joseph; both very active and involved in the community.
