The National Ambulance Center (CAN), created in 2012 to provide the population with pre-hospital emergency care, provided us with the statistical report relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of November 2020.

Among the 1,453 cases handled by the CAN for the month of November, 507 (35%) concern obstetric emergencies which each month represent the highest number of cases.

Public road accidents, in the number of 255 (17%) of the cases carried out, show an increase of 26% compared to the previous month.

Chronic diseases, up 6% from the previous month, represent 177 interventions (12%)

In addition, CAN teams took charge of : 85 cases of malaria, 92% of these cases were recorded in the department of Grand'Anse; 60 cases of abdominal pain were treated (30 in Grand'Anse, 24 in the West and 6 in the other departments).
