This week, Bishop Pierre Andre Pierre, President of the Haitian Creole Academy (AKA) signed a memorandum of understanding with Joseph Jouthe Minister of Planning and External Cooperation. This agreement concerns a grant from the Ministry allowing AKA to renovate and fit out its new premises located in Tabarre 68 D.

Joseph Jouthe declared that the State owes all its support to the Academy "which is the image of the country [...] which has the responsibility of supporting the development of the Haitian Creole language, the only official language of the country which binds all Haitians wherever they are."
