Tuesday at a press conference Pradel Henriquez the Minister of Communication launched the registration campaign for the new National Identity Card (CIN) aimed at sensitizing nearly 3.5 million Haitians to apply for their card.

Jacques Elibert, the Director General, indicated that nearly 2.3 million cards (valid for 10 years) have already been given to citizens but that nearly one million CIN have been made without their applicant coming to collect them...

To remedy this, Elibert announces that ONI employees will be hard at work on December 26 and 27, 2020 across the country to deliver these cards and communicated a short telephone number 8822 to provide information on the delivery of the card or receive complaints.

Elibert recalled that the CIN remains free throughout the national territory.
