The National Ambulance Center (CAN), created in 2012 to provide the population with pre-hospital emergency care, provided us with the statistical results relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of December 2020

Among the 1,521 cases treated by the CAN for the month of December, 473 of them (31.09%) concerned obstetric emergencies, which represent the highest number each month. However, a decrease of 6.7% was noted in December compared to the previous month.

333 road accident victims (21.89%) were supported by CAN, up 23% from the previous month.

204 cases of chronic disease (13.41% of all cases) was up 13.23% from the previous month.

80 cases of stab wounds were treated, an increase of 33.75% from the previous month.

As part of the Covid-19 epidemic, CAN has taken charge of 12 suspected cases and 6 confirmed cases.
