iciHaiti - Social: Project to Promote the Inclusion of People with Disabilities...
Ms. Désir Soinette, Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities, would like to thank the World Bank and the Japanese Government which, thanks to a trust grant from Japan, finances the "Project for the Promotion of Inclusion of People with Disabilities in social protection and employment programs" to address the problems of exclusion in Haiti.

Project Objectives :

  • Collect reliable data on people with disabilities in # Haiti with a view to designing a mechanism that can help improve their targeting in social protection and employment programs;
  • Improve the employability of people with disabilities through skills and non-skills training, and conduct awareness-raising sessions for potential employers on inclusive work.

Project components :

  • Development of a registration system for
    People with Disabilities.
  • Identification and registration of people with disabilities
  • Test and promote a model to increase access to employment for people with disabilities.
