On Thursday, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) arrested 6 bandits in the locality of Madras, commune of Caracol (North-East Dept.).

These individuals who had taken refuge in this area after the assassination of Divisional Inspector Telfort Ferais on December 26, 2020 in Cap-Haitien. https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-32627-icihaiti-cap-haitien-assassination-of-the-divisional-inspector-telfort-ferais.html , are accused of criminal association, murder and illegal detention of fire arms. At the time of their arrest, in possession of a Taurus brand 38 caliber revolver, #TD 22556, 200g of marijuana and three cell phones.

In addition, the same day, 4 police officers, one of whom was awaiting dismissal, were apprehended on the national road #2 at Petit-Goâve. These police officers had in their possession 3 pistols and 2 M4 assault rifles, one with a falsified serial number. An investigation is already open at the level of the General Inspectorate of the PNH informed the divisional inspector Gary Desrosiers, spokesperson for the PNH.
